One each in the existing labs.

Facilities

Existing Labs - Well equipped

  • Electrical Workshop.

  • Measurement & Instrumentation lab.

  • Electrical Machines labs (2).

  • Power Electronics Lab.

  • High Voltage & Power System Lab.

  • Computer Based Power System Design Lab.

Equipments

Electrical Machines labs contain D.C. and A.C. motors, transformers, rectifiers etc. that provide hands-on experience to our students and prepares them to gear up to the challenges of the industries. The cut - section models of various machines provide them an insight into their physical construction.
The measurement & instrumentation lab is equipped with the latest kits that impart practical knowledge required by the industry viz temperatures sensors ,stroboscopes ,callibration techniques, Solar panels, testing of C.T. etc. We are also in the process of procuring measuring instruments having a high degree of accuracy and precision which would cater to the needs of the local industry.
The Electrical Workshop grooms the students for repairing and testing various household appliances. Besides, they get an in depth knowledge of the various electronic equipment viz CRO ,Function generator ,Soldering Iron etc .in addition to the wide variety of electronics and electrical components.
The Dept. of Electrical Engineering offers a four year course leading to Bachelor of Engineering degree. Presently the intake of students is 60 which is expected to go up to 90 in the near future.
