Introduction to Machine tool Design and Mechanisms: Working and Auxilary motions in Machine tool parameters defining the working motion of a machine tool, machine tool devices, hydraulic transmission and its elements. General requirements of machine tool design
Regulation of speed and Feed Rates: Aim of speed and feed rate regulation, stepped regulation of speed; Design of speed box; structural diagrams, general conditions for developing the gearing diagram steeples regulation of speed and feed rates.
Design of Machine tool structure: Functions of Machine tool structures and their requirements. Design criteria for machine tool structures, materials of Machines tool structures, static and dynamic, structure profiles of machine tool structures. Basic design procedure fro machine tool structure.
Design of Spindles: Functions of spindle unit and Requirements, Materials of spindles, Design Calculations of spindles
Dynamics of Machine Tools: Dynamic characteristics of elements and systems, Dynamic characteristics of Equivalent Elastic system. Dynamic characteristics of the cutting process, Stability analysis
