Independence Day 15th August 04: Amidst patriotic songs and speeches. Our Director, Dr. D.C.Surana proudly hoisted the Tricolour. Engineer's & Teacher's Day 15th September 04: An enthralling freshers Induction ceremony took place. Teacher's Day & Engineers Day was also celebrated. The Chairman, Director, guests, faculty members & students also planted trees in & around the campus. Diwali & Eid Mubarak 16th November 04: It was Dhadham-te-Dhadoom time as Diwali was celebrated with gusto. Crackers exploded and rockets zoomed. The students cheerfully gave each other a Jadoo-ki-Jhappi and a mellifluous mushaira followed. The eminent 'Shayars' present were "Janab Sheen Kaaf Nizam Sahib and Dr. A.D. Rahi Sahib". Competitoins like Rangoli and Diya Designing took place. A few winners were-
Christmas 24th December: It was 'Christmas Eve' and the stage was all set for pantomime, dances etc. while the lawns were bubbling with the frolic and fun triggered by the sack race, jalebi race, three legged race, etc. Makar Sakranti 14th January 05: Another dual celebration took place as Makar Sakranti and Lohri joined hands. The kite flying competition symbolised the soaring spirits and aspirations of all JECRECians. Republic Day 26th January 05: Proud hoisting of the Tricolour was followed by patriotic songs and speeches. Inaugural of Navrang "2005" 29th January 05: The day marked the beginning of the college cultural week- "NAVRANG 2005". The honourable guests - Mr. D.K. Khanna (D.R.M., N.W. Railway, Jodhpur) and Mr. P. Kothari (Managing Editor, Rajasthan Patrika) - lit the lamp at the altar of Goddess Saraswati and thus initiated the gala cultural event. A string of competitions including the singing competition, collage, essay writing and Mandana Competition were held. Some of the winners were: -
Blood Donation Mela 30th January'05: The 'Blood Donation Mela' took place on the 2nd day of the cultural week. The galaxy of guests was inclusive of the Hon'ble Chief Justice Mr. Rajesh Balia, Mr. S.K.Nainani D.G.M. Rajasthan Bank, Mr. M.L. Sharma, Acedemic Staff College & Dr. D.N. Mathur Suprintendent Mahatma Gandhi Hospital. Students & Teachers enthusiastically went forward & made commendable blood donation. Extempore, poetry recitation, whirlwind, and debate were the competitions for the day. Students who won accolades were:-
Academic Prize Distribution 31st January'05: Amidst the company of our esteemed guest- Shri Vasudev Devnani ( Hon'ble Minister of Technical Education, Govt. of Rajasthan) - a mini annual function was organized. Academic prize distribution took place and scholarships were awarded to the merit holders and promising gems of JECREC. The gathering savoured of the dazzling preliminary round of Mr. & Miss JECREC and of the cultural programme with obvious relish. The names of students who deserve mention are: -
Annual Function 1st February'05: The day heralded the major annual day function of the college and the guests were Mr. R.K. Singhal (CMD, Rajasthan Art Emporium) and Mr. Anil Khanna (GM, Dainik Bhaskar). Competitions like create an ad, street play, videography/photography and Antakshri were organised while the evening session experienced the gusto and grace of the Annual Prize Distribution ceremony and the razzmatazz of the cultural programme. Badminton Tournament Brief Overview: Cricket Tournament In this session 2004-2005 cricket tournament was held at Barkattullah Stadium, Jodhpur on 21st & 23rd January from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Inter-department matches were there in the tournament, thus having one team from each department. There were 14 players in a team; 11 are the main players and 3 were in extra. Matches held on 21st January a. Between Electronics & Mechanical Branch b. Between Electrical & Computer Science Branch Matches held on 23rd January a. Between Electronics & Information Technology Branch b. Between Electronics & Computer Science Branch Winner in Cricket: - Computer Science Branch Volleyball Tournament: In this event we have call team from each year from each department. There were 12 players in a team, in which 6 were main and 6 were in extra. Total number of teams in the tournament are 12. This event was organize from 18th January to 26th January in the JECRC college ground. Winner in Volleyball - Information Technology II B.E. Runner Up: Electrical I B.E. Table Tennis Tournament: - In this tournament individual names from all branches were called. There were 16 participants in the tournament. Matches were played between 17th and 25th January at Mechanical Thermal Lab of the same department. The time of matches was 2.00 p.m. onwards. Winner: Bharat Sharma II B.E. Mechanical Runner: Anshul Mehta II B.E. Electronics Badminton Tournament: In this tournament matches were organized branchwise. Total number of players were 70 from all branches.
